Happy Birthday!

I sort of skipped over Christmas on the blog, but here in the Walburger household we have had to switch into birthday mode. 7 years - Let's take a quick look back to our brand new baby girl Raeley. (as a side-note, see the similarities to Cason?)
Well, 7 years and we've manged to never have a party - until this year. I was trying to avoid the screaming girls, but it went ok! Raeley had a lot of fun. Mya was really put out that none of the presents were for her. We had a flip-flop cake, an idea from the girls' cake-making video watching. Can't hardly believe it has been seven years since this spunky girl joined us. It's been a hoot!
The flip-flop cake went along with the "theme" of the party - the girls got their toenails air-brushed. It was pretty fun, they each got to pick out a design and whatever colors they wanted. Raeley and Mya were very excited, Scott cringes at having such girly-girls!

  1. Happy Birthday Raeley! We talked about it all week (thanks to the new family calendar!), then totally blanked out yesterday. It looks like it was a hit. Such a fun party idea, and the cake looks great. Did you make that Mandy? I can't imagine the patience that took. I'm impressed. Jen

  3. Nice work on the cake! It looks really good. I have never attempted to do a cake like that, but I don't think mine would turn out near as nice if I did.
